“Jason” Papelbon Says his Dog Ate the World Series Ball

The San Francisco news just reported that “Jason” Papelbon says that the World Series Ball was eaten by his dog.  I guess Papelbon has to work a little harder to get his name out there.  I like to think he’s one of most promising stars in the game.

DiceK’s Season

ESPN has a good read on DiceK today. Jayson Stark argues that he hasn’t been a disappointment. In my opinion the hype was too high for expectations. I remember reading that a couple of scouts in March had said the Cy Young Award was his to lose this year.

Red Sox Pitching Comes up Big in Game 2

Here are a couple of thoughts from the game last night:

Schilling seems to have nothing left physically, yet he is able to do so much.
The bullpen came up huge last night. This would be a good time to have a Gagne lead in game 3 so that we can rest them.
