Lazy Man and Sports

If you are here around creation of this blog, chances are you read one of my other two blogs Lazy Man and Money and Lazy Man and Health. I found myself writing about sports on Lazy Man and Money a little more often than I would consider appropriate for the focus of that site. Worse, I would largely focus on sports of one locale, Boston, likely alienating many of those readers.

This blog gives me an outlet to discuss my thoughts on sports. As a bit of background, I’m a huge fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. As one might expect, my writing will usually focus on these two teams. I used to watch the Celtics through the early 90’s, but when players started literally dying, I had difficulty enjoy the games. This may sound like a good time to call me a fair-weather fan, but I’ve watched the Red Sox and Patriots through some poor and horrible seasons over the last 20+ years.

The launch of this blog is something that I thought of for some time. However, it became clear that this is the time to launch. The Red Sox play game 1 of the World Series tonight. In Peter King’s unbiased words, “The Patriots are one of the best teams ever to take the field.” Lastly, I’ve recently resigned from my day job, leading me to have some spare time to express these thoughts.
